This was a caricature of Alex Lifeson I did for a Rush fan magazine. Alex 'Ben' Sinclair colored it for me, being a Rush fan himself, and Jeff Campbell helped me with the face some. It was a lot of fun to do, and according to the editor of the magazine, Big Al liked it too!

I think he has seen it, though it's tough to tell when you're dealing with people not connected to the band. It was for a fanzine called 'Anthem'; I did an illo of Pratt too in there. I was told it was sent to the Anthem offices, and that supposedly, Lerxt liked it, but who knows? I got the idea from one of the tour books, when he talks about his equipment and mentions using doughnuts and fish as picks. He's a funny guy.;)

One concert he steps up to the mike, total straight face and dry delivery, and says "I don't talk a lot, but they're letting me introduce the band tonight. So we'll start off with me, I play the guitar, my name's Sylvester Stallone and I'm the force of freedom." He said it so dryly that it took a couple seconds before folks started laughing. Thing is, he didn't seem to care, just kept on talking... I forget who he introduced the other guys as. He's a perplexity that's for sure.

Yep, that's Lerxst! He is a crack up, always rambling on and on. He's kind of the heart of the band (he started Rush). Geddy's the soul and Neil's the brains of the outfit. They rule!

Is that a fish thet he`s holding (catch the fish, eh???)?

and i think it`s kinda too good for Alex to be the big hero, i always thought a tokusatsu thing, that Neil would act as Kamen Rider (he`s the masked rider, isn`t he?) and Alex would be a kid to be kidnapped by a gang of monster
for human experiments, and it`s Neil role to save Alex
